MC78M08CDTRKG

The MC78M08CDTRKG is a 500mA positive voltage regulator 3 pin TO-252 package. This positive voltage regulator is identical to the popular MC7800 series device, except that it is specified for only half the output current. The three-terminal regulator is intended for local, on-card voltage regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry and safe-area compensation for the internal pass transistor combine to make device remarkably rugged under most operating conditions. Maximum output current with adequate heatsinking.

• Maximum load regulation of 160mV at (TJ = 25°C, 5mA ≤ IO ≤ 500mA)
• Maximum quiescent current change of 0.8mA at (10.5VDC ≤ VI ≤ 25VDC, IO = 200mA)
• Output noise voltage of 52µV at (TA = 25°C, 10Hz ≤ f ≤ 100KHz)
• Dropout voltage of 2VDC (TJ = 25°C)
• Peak output current is 700mA at (TJ = 25°C)
