Safety switch operated by a red PVC coated steel rope 'Grab wire', (order separately) designed for the safeguarding of exposed machinery, conveyors and handling equipment. The switch which is immune to nuisance tripping caused by machine vibration, has been manufactured in accordance with EN418. Housed in yellow epoxy coated heavy duty diecast alloy sealed to IP65. If the rope is pulled in an emergency or cut, the safety contacts are operated force disconnecting the power. A latch ensures the machine cannot be reset until the hazard has passed and the switch is reset by turning the blue reset knob. The unit also has an integral emergency stop button which operates the same mechanism. A viewing window allows you to see the exact position of the rope for easy setting and adjustment. A dial indicator shows the state of the rope/system, machine 'RUN', emergency stop 'ROPE PULLED' or 'SLACK WIRE', the unit also has a rope tension indicator.

Note: It is recommended that one 'Lifeline' switch is installed at each end of the rope. For less than 10m of coverage, it may be possible to use one 'Lifeline' with an anchor bolt at the other end
