MPQ4323M is a 42V load dump tolerant, 3A, ultra-compact, low-IQ, synchronous step-down converter with an integrated, internal high-side MOSFET (HS-FET) and low-side MOSFET (LS-FET). The device provides 3A of highly efficient output current (IOUT) with peak current mode control. The wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range and 42V load dump tolerance accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1μA shutdown mode quiescent current (IQ) allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. Frequency foldback helps prevent inductor current runaway during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation. Typical applications are automotive infotainment, automotive clusters, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), industrial power systems.
