AD7653 is a 16-bit, 1MSPS, charge redistribution SAR analogue-to-digital converter. The part contains a high speed 16-bit sampling ADC, internal conversion clock, internal reference, error correction circuits and both serial and parallel system interface ports. It features a very high sampling rate mode (Warp), a fast mode (Normal) for asynchronous conversion rate applications and a reduced power mode (Impulse) for low power applications where power is scaled with the throughput. The AD7653 is fabricated using Analog Devices’ high performance, 0.6micron CMOS process with correspondingly low cost. Typical applications include data acquisition, instrumentation, digital signal processing, spectrum analysis, medical instruments, battery-powered systems and process control.
- Throughput:: 1MSPS (warp mode), 800KSPS (normal mode) and 666KSPS (impulse mode)
- Single 5V supply operation, analogue input voltage range: 0 V to 2.5V
- 6LSB max INL, 86dB SNR at fIN = 100KHz, -98dB THD at fIN = 45KHz, 12MHz typ -3dB input bandwidth
- No pipeline delay
- Parallel and serial 5V/3V interface
- SPI®/QSPI™/MICROWIRE™/DSP compatible
- Power dissipation: 92mW typ at 666KSPS, 138µW at 1KSPS without REF and 128mW typ at 1MSPS with REF
- Pin to pin compatible with PulSAR ADCs
- 48 lead LQFP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
